Even if you have a male cat, and are therefore not concerned about having your own unwanted litter of kittens, it is very important to have him neutered. Your un-neutered male, if he is allowed outside, will breed with females in the area, contributing to the unwanted cat population. Neutering has been proven OK for cats as young as twelve weeks.
